Characters: Letters Unposted

Sharing the limelight with Alexander is a fictional 10-year-old boy named Thomas.  Both of his parents have passed away so he has recently come to live with his grandfather, Henry Brown.  Having no siblings or other relatives, he’s quite alone in the world, and still mourning the loss of his father, with whom he spent all his time.

Thomas is timid and well-mannered, stuttering when nervous.  He goes about his life at Henry’s house doing as he’s told, but missing the touch and conversation he’d had before being orphaned.

He has had little contact with his grandfather who had become rather a recluse,   and finds it difficult adjusting to a quiet house where the inhabitants rarely converse.  

This situation changes however, and relationships evolve and bonds grow in unexpected ways.
